Gazebo
Here's that gazebo on the pond again. Actually for the first time.
Weeping rock
This rock supposedly looks like a weeping woman holding a child. Scatman again.
Drinkin Place
This gazebo is where the prince and his friends would get drunk. The floor has nice drainage.
Leaves
One of the English students told me that this shape of leaf is rare in Beijing.
Old paint
The painting on these eaves dates back to like the 1600's. It's pretty old anyway.
Rocks
This guy loved his rock gardens. How many rocks does one prince need?
Path of fame
If you climb this path and don't look back you'll become rich and famous. I'm still waiting.

Here we are in Prince Fong or Dong or whatever's garden. Some gazebo in the middle of a pool.
Students
The three on the left are English students. I named the one in orange Betty. Scatman at the right.
Windows
This is one of that prince's buildings. Each window on the top story is different.
Lizard
This is a little lizard we saw outside Prince Fong's Garden. I'll take a picture of anything.
Ho Hi
This is near Ho Hi, where there are good bars. Scatman plans to take a chick to this park one day.

I think that's Rene, a Canadian. I can't tell what's behind him.
Alley
Scatman lives just off this alley. His apartments are a little further down.
McDonald's
This is the McDonald's I ate at almost every day. I could order using a picture menu.
Paul
The guy in the middle is Paul. I don't remember those other two. We'd been drinking that night.
Gateway
This is where all of the tourists enter the temple grounds. Lots of souvenir shops.
Incense
That smoke is coming from incense they burned everywhere. It smelled much better than outside.
Flowers
This is the plaza at the entrance to the Lama temple. See how small the first building is?
Looking up
I think this is the building where the big buddha was held.
Buddha plaque
The Guiness people verified that the statue was carved from one tree. No pictures allowed inside.
Big buddha
The building on the right holds a four-story buddha carved from a single sandalwood tree.
Building
A building at the temple. Each building had a bigger one behind it. Except the last one of course.
Rooftop
These are all from the Lama Buddhist temple. There are little dragons marching along the rooftop.
Road
The road we came in on. The bus was about a buck apiece. You get what you pay for.
